  莲池海会,弥陀如来。  观音势至坐莲台,接引上金阶。

如是我闻。一时佛在舍卫国,祇树给孤独园。与大比丘僧,千二百五十人俱,皆是大阿罗汉,众所知识:长老舍利弗、摩诃目犍连、摩诃迦叶、摩诃迦旃延、摩诃俱絺罗、离婆多、周利盘陀伽、难陀、阿难陀、罗侯罗、憍梵波提、宾头卢颇罗堕、迦留陀夷、摩诃劫宾那、薄拘罗、阿那楼驮,如是等诸大弟子。并诸菩萨摩诃萨:文殊师利法王子、阿逸多菩萨、干陀诃提菩萨、常精进菩萨,与如是等诸大菩萨及释提桓因等,无量诸天大众俱。

尔时,佛告长老舍利弗:「从是西方,过十万亿佛土,有世界名曰极乐,其土有佛,号阿弥陀,今现在说法。」

「舍利弗,彼土何故名为极乐?其国众生,无有众苦,但受诸乐, 故名极乐。」

「又舍利弗。极乐国土,七重栏楯,七重罗网,七重行树,皆是四宝周匝围绕,是故彼国名为极乐。」

「又舍利弗。极乐国土,有七宝池,八功德水,充满其中,池底纯以金沙布地。四边阶道,金、银、琉璃、玻璃合成。上有楼阁, 亦以金、银、琉璃、玻璃、砗磲、赤珠、玛瑙而严饰之。池中莲花大如车轮,青色青光、黄色黄光、赤色赤光、白色白光,微妙香洁。」

「舍利弗。极乐国土,成就如是功德庄严。」

「又舍利弗。彼佛国土,常作天乐。黄金为地。昼夜六时,雨天曼陀罗华。其土众生,常以清旦,各以衣祴盛众妙华,供养他方十万亿佛,即以食时,还到本国,饭食经行。」

「舍利弗。极乐国土,成就如是功德庄严。」

复次舍利弗:「彼国常有种种奇妙杂色之鸟:白鹤、孔雀、鹦鹉、舍利、迦陵频伽、共命之鸟。是诸众鸟,昼夜六时,出和雅音。其音演畅五根、五力、七菩提分、八圣道分,如是等法。其土众生,闻是音已,皆悉念佛、念法、念僧。」

「舍利弗。汝勿谓此鸟,实是罪报所生,所以者何?彼佛国土, 无三恶道。」

「舍利弗。其佛国土,尚无恶道之名,何况有实。是诸众鸟,皆是阿弥陀佛,欲令法音宣流,变化所作。」

「舍利弗。彼佛国土,微风吹动诸宝行树,及宝罗网,出微妙音, 譬如百千种乐,同时俱作。闻是音者,自然皆生念佛、念法、念僧之心。」

「舍利弗。其佛国土,成就如是功德庄严。」

「舍利弗。于汝意云何?彼佛何故号阿弥陀?」

「舍利弗。彼佛光明无量,照十方国,无所障碍,是故号为阿弥陀。」

又舍利弗。彼佛寿命,及其人民,无量无边阿僧祇劫,故名阿弥陀。」

「舍利弗。阿弥陀佛成佛已来,于今十劫。」

「又舍利弗。彼佛有无量无边声闻弟子,皆阿罗汉,非是算数之所能知。诸菩萨众,亦复如是。」

「舍利弗。彼佛国土,成就如是功德庄严。」

「又舍利弗。极乐国土,众生生者,皆是阿鞞跋致,其中多有一生补处,其数甚多,非是算数所能知之,但可以无量无边阿僧祇说。」

「舍利弗。众生闻者,应当发愿,愿生彼国,所以者何?得与如是诸上善人俱会一处。」

「舍利弗。不可以少善根福德因缘,得生彼国。」

「舍利弗。若有善男子善女人,闻说阿弥陀佛,执持名号,若一日、若二日,若三日,若四日,若五日,若六日,若七日,一心不乱,其人临命终时,阿弥陀佛,与诸圣众,现在其前。是人终时,心不颠倒,即得往生阿弥陀佛极乐国土。」

「舍利弗。我见是利,故说此言。若有众生,闻是说者,应当发愿,生彼国土。」

「舍利弗。如我今者,赞叹阿弥陀佛,不可思议功德之利。东方亦有阿鞞佛、须弥相佛、大须弥佛、须弥光佛、妙音佛,如是等恒河沙数诸佛,各于其国,出广长舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,说诚实言:『汝等众生,当信是称赞不可思议功德一切诸佛所护念经。』

「舍利弗。南方世界,有日月灯佛、名闻光佛、大焰肩佛、须弥灯佛、无量精进佛,如是等恒河沙数诸佛,各于其国,出广长舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,说诚实言:『汝等众生,当信是称赞不可思议功德一切诸佛所护念经。』」

「舍利弗。西方世界,有无量寿佛、无量相佛、无量幢佛、大光佛、大明佛、宝相佛、净光佛,如是等恒河沙数诸佛,各于其国, 出广长舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,说诚实言:『汝等众生,当信是称赞不可思议功德一切诸佛所护念经。』」

「舍利弗。北方世界,有焰肩佛、最胜音佛、难沮佛、日生佛、网明佛,如是等恒河沙数诸佛,各于其国,出广长舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,说诚实言:『汝等众生,当信是称赞不可思议功德一切诸佛所护念经。』」

「舍利弗。下方世界,有师子佛、名闻佛、名光佛、达摩佛、法幢佛、持法佛,如是等恒河沙数诸佛,各于其国,出广长舌相, 遍覆三千大千世界,说诚实言:『汝等众生,当信是称赞不可思议功德一切诸佛所护念经。』」

「舍利弗。上方世界,有梵音佛、宿王佛、香上佛、香光佛、大焰肩佛、杂色宝华严身佛、娑罗树王佛、宝华德佛、见一切义佛、如须弥山佛,如是等恒河沙数诸佛,各于其国,出广长舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,说诚实言:『汝等众生,当信是称赞不可思议功德一切诸佛所护念经。』」

「舍利弗。于汝意云何?何故名为一切诸佛所护念经?」

舍利弗。若有善男子、善女人,闻是经受持者,及闻诸佛名者, 是诸善男子、善女人,皆为一切诸佛之所护念,皆得不退转于阿耨多罗三藐三菩提。是故舍利弗,汝等皆当信受我语,及诸佛所说。」

「舍利弗。若有人已发愿、今发愿、当发愿,欲生阿弥陀佛国者, 是诸人等,皆得不退转于阿耨多罗三藐三菩提,于彼国土,若已生、若今生、若当生。是故舍利弗,诸善男子、善女人,若有信者,应当发愿,生彼国土。舍利弗,如我今者,称赞诸佛不可思议功德,彼诸佛等,亦称赞我不可思议功德,而作是言:『释迦牟尼佛能为甚难希有之事,能于娑婆国土,五浊恶世,劫浊、见浊、烦恼浊、众生浊、命浊中,得阿耨多罗三藐三菩提。为诸众生,说是一切世间难信之法。』」

「舍利弗。当知我于五浊恶世,行此难事,得阿耨多罗三藐三菩提,为一切世间说此难信之法,是为甚难。」

佛说此经已,舍利弗,及诸比丘,一切世间天人阿修罗等,闻佛所说,欢喜信受,作礼而去。

佛说阿弥陀经

(4)     往生咒

拔一切业障根本得生净土陀罗尼(三遍)

南无阿弥多婆夜。哆他伽多夜。哆地夜他。阿弥唎都婆毗。

阿弥利多。悉耽婆毗。阿弥利多。毗迦兰帝。 阿弥利多。毗迦兰多。伽弥腻。伽伽那。枳多迦利。娑婆诃。

(9)   三皈依

     自皈依佛,当愿众生,体解大道,发无上心! (一拜)

     自皈依法,当愿众生,深入经藏,智慧如海! (一拜)

     自皈依僧,当愿众生,统理大众,一切无碍! (一拜)

(10) 回向偈

       愿生西方净土中,九品莲花为父母,

       花开见佛悟无生,不退菩萨为伴侣。

DEDICATION OF MERITS FOR THE DECEASED

蓮池讚 Praise of the Lotus Pond

蓮池海會,彌陀如來。

Lián chí hǎi huì, mí tuó rú lái.

In the Assembly of the Lotus Pond, Amitabha Tathagata,

觀音勢至坐蓮臺,接引上金階。

Guān yīn shì zhì zuò lián tái, jiē yǐn shàng jīn jiē.

Avalokitesvara and Mahasthamaprapta are seated on the lotus platform to receive and guide us up the golden steps.

大誓弘開,普願離塵埃。

Dà shì hóng kāi, pǔ yuàn lí chén’āi.

Their great vow is committed, wishing for all to depart from defilements

佛說阿彌陀經

Fó shuō ā mí tuó jīng

The Buddha Speaks of Amitabha Sutra

如是我聞。一時佛在舍衛國,祇樹給孤獨園。與大比丘僧,千二百五十人俱,皆是大阿羅漢,眾所知識:長老舍利弗、摩訶目犍連、摩訶迦葉、摩訶迦旃延、摩訶俱絺羅、離婆多、周利槃陀伽、難陀、阿難陀、羅侯羅、憍梵波提、賓頭盧頗羅墮、迦留陀夷、摩訶劫賓那、薄拘羅、阿那樓馱,如是等諸大弟子。并諸菩薩摩訶薩:文殊師利法王子、阿逸多菩薩、乾陀訶提菩薩、常精進菩薩,與如是等諸大菩薩及釋提桓因等,無量諸天大眾俱。

Rú shì wǒ wén. yī shí fó zài shè wèi guó, qí shù jǐ gū dú yuán. yǔ dà bǐ qiū sēng, qiān èr bǎi wǔ shí rén jù, jiē shì dà ā luó hàn, zhòng suǒ zhī shí: zhǎng lǎo shè lì fó, mó hē mù jiàn lián, mó hē jiā shè, mó hē jiā zhān yán, mó hē jù chī luó, lí pó duō, zhōu lì pán tuó qié, nán tuó, ā nán tuó, luó hòu luó, jiāo fàn bō tí, bīn tóu lú pō luó duò, jiā liú tuó yí, mó hē jié bīn nuó, báo jū luó, ā nuó lóu tuó ,rú shì děng zhū dà dì zǐ. bìng zhū pú sà mó hē sà: wén shū shī lì fǎ wáng zǐ, ā yì duō pú sà, qián tuó hē tí pú sà, cháng jīng jìn pú sà, yǔ rú shì děng zhūdà pú sà jí shì tí huán yīn děng, wú liàng zhū tiān dà zhòng jù

Thus I have heard. At one time the Buddha dwelt at Shravasti, in the

Jeta Grove, in the Garden of the Benefactor of Orphans and the Solitary, together with a gathering of great Bhikshus, twelve hundred fifty in all, all great Arhats whom the assembly knew and recognized: elders Shariputra, Mahamaudgalyayana, Mahakashyapa, Mahakatyayana, Mahakaushthila, Revata, Shuddhipanthaka, Nanda, Ananda, Rahula, Gavampati, Pindola Bharadvaja, Kalodayin, Mahakapphina, Vakkula, Aniruddha, and others such as these, all great disciples; together with all the Bodhisattvas, Mahasattvas: Dharma Prince Manjushri, Ajita Bodhisattva, Gandhahastin Bodhisattva, Nityodyukta Bodhisattva, and others such as these, all great Bodhisattvas, and together with Shakra, chief among gods, and the numberless great multitudes from all the heavens.

爾時,佛告長老舍利弗:「從是西方,過十萬億佛土,有世界名曰極樂,其土有佛,號阿彌陀,今現在說法。」

Er shí, fó gào zhǎng lǎo shè lì fó: cóng shì xī fāng guò shí wàn yì fó tǔ, yǒu shì jiè míng yuē jí lè, qí tǔ yǒu fó, hào ā mí tuó, jīn xiàn zài shuō fǎ.

At that time the Buddha told the Elder Shariputra, “Passing from here

through hundreds of thousands of millions of Buddhalands to the West, there is a world called Ultimate Bliss. In this land a Buddha called Amitabha right now teaches the Dharma.

「舍利弗,彼土何故名為極樂?其國眾生,無有眾苦,但受諸樂, 故名極樂。」

Shè lì fó, bǐ tǔ hé gù míng wéi jí lè? qí guó zhòng shēng, wú yǒu zhòng kǔ, dàn shòu zhū lè, gù míng jí lè.

Shariputra, for what reason is this land called Ultimate Bliss?“All

living beings of this country endure none of the sufferings, but enjoy every bliss. Therefore it is called ‘Ultimate Bliss.’

「又舍利弗。極樂國土,七重欄楯,七重羅網,七重行樹,皆是四寶周匝圍繞,是故彼國名為極樂。」

Yòu shè lì fó. jí lè guó tǔ, qī chòng lán xǔn, qī chòng luó wǎng,qī zhòng háng shù, jiē shì sì bǎo zhōu zā wéi rào ,shì gù bǐ guó míng wéi jí lè.

Moreover, Shariputra, this Land of Ultimate Bliss is everywhere

surrounded by seven tiers of railings, seven layers of netting, and seven rows of trees, all formed from the four treasures and for this reason named ‘Ultimate Bliss.’

「又舍利弗。極樂國土,有七寶池,八功德水,充滿其中,池底純以金沙布地。四邊階道,金、銀、琉璃、玻璃合成。上有樓閣, 亦以金、銀、琉璃、玻璃、硨磲、赤珠、瑪瑙而嚴飾之。池中蓮花大如車輪,青色青光、黃色黃光、赤色赤光、白色白光,微妙香潔。」

Yòu shè lì fó. jí lè guó tǔ, yǒu qī bǎo chí, bā gōng dé shuǐ, chōng mǎn qí zhōng, chí dǐ chún yǐ jīn shā bù dì. sì biān jiē dào,jīn, yín, liú, lí, bō lí hé chéng. shàng yǒu lóu gé, yì yǐ jīn, yín, liú, lí, bō lí, chē qú, chì zhū, mǎ lǎo ér

yán shì zhī. chízhōng lián huā dà rú chē lún, qīng sè qīng guāng, huáng sè huáng guāng, chì sè chì guāng, bái sè bái guāng, wēi miào xiāng jié.

Moreover, Shariputra, this Land of Ultimate Bliss has pools of the

seven jewels, filled with the waters of eight meritorious virtues. The bottom of each pool is pure, spread over with golden sand. On the four sides are stairs of gold, silver, lapis lazuli, and crystal; above are raised pavilions adorned with gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, mother-of-pearl, red pearls, and carnelian. In the pools are lotuses as large as carriage wheels, green colored of green light, yellow colored of yellow light, red colored of red light, white colored of white light, subtly, wonderfully, fragrant and pure.

「舍利弗。極樂國土,成就如是功德莊嚴。」

Shè lì fó. jí lè guó tǔ, chéng jiù rú shì gōng dé zhuāng yán.

Shariputra, the realization of the Land of Ultimate Bliss is thus meritoriously adorned.

「又舍利弗。彼佛國土,常作天樂。黃金為地。晝夜六時,雨天曼陀羅華。其土眾生,常以清旦,各以衣祴盛眾妙華,供養他方十萬億佛,即以食時,還到本國,飯食經行。」

Yòu shè lì fó. bǐ fó guó tǔ, cháng zuò tiān yuè. huáng jīn wéi dì. zhòu yè liù shí, yù tiān màn tuó luó huā. qí tǔ zhòng shēng, cháng yǐ qīng dàn, gè yǐ yī gé chéng zhòng miào huā, gòng yǎng tā fāngshí wàn yì fó, jí yǐ shí shí, huán dào běn guó, fàn shí jīng xíng.

Moreover, Shariputra, in that Buddhaland there is always heavenly

music and the ground is yellow gold. In the six periods of the day and night a heavenly rain of mandarava flowers falls, and throughout the clear morning, each living being of that land, with sacks full of the myriads of wonderful flowers, makes offerings to the hundreds of thousands of millions of Buddhas of the other directions. At mealtime they return to their own country, and having eaten, they stroll around.

「舍利弗。極樂國土,成就如是功德莊嚴。」

Shè lì fó. jí lè guó tǔ, chéng jiù rú shì gōng dé zhuāng yán.

Shariputra, the realization of the Land of Ultimate Bliss is thus meritoriously adorned.

復次舍利弗:「彼國常有種種奇妙雜色之鳥:白鶴、孔雀、鸚鵡、舍利、迦陵頻伽、共命之鳥。是諸眾鳥,晝夜六時,出和雅音。其音演暢五根、五力、七菩提分、八聖道分,如是等法。其土眾生,聞是音已,皆悉念佛、念法、念僧。」

Fù cì shè lì fó: bǐ guó cháng yǒu zhǒng zhǒng qí miào zá sè zhī niǎo: bái hè, kǒng què, yīng wǔ, shè lì, jiā líng pín qié, gòng mìng zhī niǎo. shì zhū zhòng niǎo, zhòu yè liù shí, chū hé yǎ yīn. qí yīn yǎn chàng wǔ gēn, wǔ lì, qī pú tí fēn, bā shèng dào fēn, rú shì děng fǎ. qí tǔ zhòng shēng, wén shì yīn yǐ, jiē xī niàn fó, niàn fǎ, niàn sēng.

Moreover Shariputra, in this country there are always rare and

wonderful vari-colored birds: white cranes, peacocks, parrots, and egrets, kalavinkas, and two-headed birds. In the six periods of the day and night the flocks of birds sing forth harmonious and elegant sounds; their clear and joyful sounds proclaim the five roots, the five powers, the seven bodhi shares, the eight sagely way shares, and dharmas such as these. When living beings of this land hear these sounds, they are altogether mindful of the Buddha, mindful of the Dharma, and mindful of the Sangha.

「舍利弗。汝勿謂此鳥,實是罪報所生,所以者何?彼佛國土, 無三惡道。」

Shè lì fó. rǔ wù wèi cǐ niǎo, shí shì zuì bào suǒ shēng, suǒ yǐ zhě hé? bǐ fó guó tǔ, wú sān è dào.

Shariputra, do not say that these birds are born as retribution for their

karmic offences. For what reason? In this Buddhaland there are no three evil ways of rebirth.

「舍利弗。其佛國土,尚無惡道之名,何況有實。是諸眾鳥,皆是阿彌陀佛,欲令法音宣流,變化所作。」

Shè lì fó. qí fó guó tǔ, shàng wú è dào zhī míng, hé kuàng yǒu shí. shì zhū zhòng niǎo, jiē shì ā mí tuó fó, yù lìng fǎ yīn xuān liú, biàn huà suǒ zuò.

Shariputra, in this Buddhaland not even the names of the three evil ways exist, how much the less their actuality! Desiring that the Dharma-sound be widely proclaimed, Amitabha Buddha by transformation made this multitude of birds.

「舍利弗。彼佛國土,微風吹動諸寶行樹,及寶羅網,出微妙音, 譬如百千種樂,同時俱作。聞是音者,自然皆生念佛、念法、念僧之心。」

Shè lì fó. bǐ fó guó tǔ, wēi fēng chuī dòng zhū bǎo hàng shù, jí bǎo luó wǎng, chū wēi miào yīn, pì rú bǎi qiān zhǒng yuè, tóng shí jù zuò. wén shì yīn zhě, zì rán jiē shēng niàn fó, niàn fǎ, niàn sēng zhī xīn.

Shariputra, in that Buddhaland when the soft wind blows, the rows of

jewelled trees and jewelled nets give forth subtle and wonderful sounds, like one hundred thousand kinds of music played at the same time. All those who hear these sounds naturally bring forth in their hearts mindfulness of the Buddha, mindfulness of the Dharma, and mindfulness of the Sangha.

「舍利弗。其佛國土,成就如是功德莊嚴。」

Shè lì fó. jí lè guó tǔ, chéng jiù rú shì gōng dé zhuāng yán.

Shariputra, the realization of the Land of Ultimate Bliss is thus meritoriously adorned.

「舍利弗。於汝意云何?彼佛何故號阿彌陀?」

Shè lì fó. yú rǔ yì yún hé? bǐ fó hé gù hào ā mí tuó?

Shariputra, what do you think? Why is this Buddha called Amitabha?

「舍利弗。彼佛光明無量,照十方國,無所障礙,是故號為阿彌陀。」

Shè lì fó. bǐ fó guāng míng wú liàng, zhào shí fāng guó, wú suǒ zhàng ài, shì gù hào wéi ā mí tuó.

Shariputra, the brilliance of that Buddha’s light is measureless,

illumining the lands of the ten directions everywhere without obstruction, for this reason he is called Amitabha.

又舍利弗。彼佛壽命,及其人民,無量無邊阿僧祇劫,故名阿彌陀。」

Yòu shè lì fó. bǐ fó shòu mìng, jí qí rén mín, wú liàng wúbiān ā sēng qí jié, gù míng ā mí tuó.

Moreover, Shariputra, the life of that Buddha and that of his people

extends for measureless, limitless asamkhyeya kalpas; for this reason he is called Amitayus.

「舍利弗。阿彌陀佛成佛已來,於今十劫。」

Shè lì fó. ā mí tuó fó chéng fó yǐ lái, yú jīn shí jié.

And Shariputra, since Amitabha realised Buddhahood ten kalpas have passed.

「又舍利弗。彼佛有無量無邊聲聞弟子,皆阿羅漢,非是算數之所能知。諸菩薩眾,亦復如是。」

Yòu shè lì fó. bǐ fó yǒu wú liàng wú biān shēng wén dì zǐ, jiē ā luó hàn, fēi shì suàn shù zhī suǒ néng zhī. zhū pú sà zhòng, yì fù rú shì.

Moreover,   Shariputra,    that   Buddha   has   measureless,   limitless

‘sound-hearer’ disciples, all Arhats, their number incalculable; thus also is the assembly of Bodhisattvas.

「舍利弗。彼佛國土,成就如是功德莊嚴。」

Shè lì fó. bǐ fó guó tǔ, chéng jiù rú shì gōng dé zhuāng yán.

Shariputra, the realization of the Land of Ultimate Bliss is thus meritoriously adorned.

「又舍利弗。極樂國土,眾生生者,皆是阿鞞跋致,其中多有一生補處,其數甚多,非是算數所能知之,但可以無量無邊阿僧祇說。」

Yòu shè lì fó. jí lè guó tǔ, zhòng shēng shēng zhě, jiē shì ā pí bá zhì, qí zhōng duō yǒu yī shēng bǔ chǔ, qí shù shèn duō, fēi shì suàn shù suǒ néng zhī zhī, dàn kě yǐ wú liàng wú biān ā sēng qí shuō.

Moreover, Shariputra, those living beings born in the Land of the

Ultimate Bliss are all avaivartika. Among them are many who in this very life will dwell in Buddhahood. Their number is extremely many;

it is incalculable and only in measureless, limitless asamkhyeya kalpas could it be spoken.

「舍利弗。眾生聞者,應當發願,願生彼國,所以者何?得與如是諸上善人俱會一處。」

Shè lì fó. zhòng shēng wén zhě, yīng dāng fā yuàn, yuàn shēng bǐ guó, suǒ yǐ zhě hé? Dé yǔ rú shì zhū shàng shàn rén jù huì yī chǔ.

Shariputra, those living beings who hear should vow, ‘I wish to be

born in that country.’ And why? Those who thus attain are all superior and good people, all gathered together in one place.

「舍利弗。不可以少善根福德因緣,得生彼國。」

Shè lì fó. bù kě yǐ shǎo shàn gēn fú dé yīn yuán, dé shēng bǐ guó. Shariputra, one cannot have few good roots, blessings, virtues, and causal connections to attain birth in that land.

「舍利弗。若有善男子善女人,聞說阿彌陀佛,執持名號,若一日、若二日,若三日,若四日,若五日,若六日,若七日,一心不亂,其人臨命終時,阿彌陀佛,與諸聖眾,現在其前。是人終時,心不顛倒,即得往生阿彌陀佛極樂國土。」

Shè lì fó. ruò yǒu shàn nán zǐ shàn nǚ rén, wén shuō ā mí tuó fó, zhí chí míng hào, ruò yī rì, ruò èr rì, ruò sān rì, ruò sì rì, ruò wǔ rì, ruò liù rì, ruò qī rì, yī xīn bù luàn, qí rén lín mìng zhōng shí, ā mí tuó fó, yǔ zhū shèng zhòng, xiàn zài qí qián. Shì rén zhōng shí, xīn bù diān dǎo, jí dé wǎng shēng ā mí tuó fó jí lè guó tǔ.

Shariputra, if there is a good man or a good woman who hears spoken

‘Amitabha’ and holds the name, whether for one day, two days, three, four, five days, six days, as long as seven days, with one heart unconfused, when this person approaches the end of life, before him will appear Amitabha and all the assembly of holy ones. When the end comes, his heart is without inversion; in Amitabha’s Land of Ultimate Bliss he will attain rebirth.

「舍利弗。我見是利,故說此言。若有眾生,聞是說者,應當發願,生彼國土。」

Shè lì fó. wǒ jiàn shì lì, gù shuō cǐ yán. ruò yǒu zhòng shēng, wén shì shuō zhě, yīng dāng fā yuàn, shēng bǐ guó tǔ.

Shariputra, because I see this benefit, I speak these words: If living

beings hear this spoken they should make the vow, ‘I will be born in that land.’

「舍利弗。如我今者,讚歎阿彌陀佛,不可思議功德之利。東方亦有阿鞞佛、須彌相佛、大須彌佛、須彌光佛、妙音佛,如是等恆河沙數諸佛,各於其國,出廣長舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,說誠實言:『汝等眾生,當信是稱讚不可思議功德一切諸佛所護念經。』

Shè lì fó. rú wǒ jīn zhě, zàn tàn ā mí tuó fó, bù kě sī yì gōng dé zhī lì. dōng fāng yì yǒu ā chù pí fó, xū mí xiāng fó, dà xū mí fó, xū mí guāng fó, miào yīn fó, rú shì děng héng hé shā shù zhū fó, gè yú qí guó, chū guǎng cháng shé xiāng, biàn fù sān qiān dà qiān shì jiè, shuō chéng shí yán: rǔ děng zhòng shēng, dāng xìn shì chēng zàn bù kě sī yì gōng dé yī qiē zhū fó suǒ hù niàn jīng.

Shariputra, as I now praise the inconceivable benefit from the merit

and virtue of Amitabha, thus in the east are also Akshobhya Buddha, Sumeru Appearance Buddha, Great Sumeru Buddha, Sumeru Light Buddha, Wonderful Sound Buddha, all Buddhas such as these, numberless as Ganges sands. In his own country each brings forth the appearance of a vast and long tongue, everywhere covering the three thousand great thousand worlds, and speaks the sincere and actual words, ‘All you living beings should believe, praise, and hold in reverence the inconceivable merit and virtue of this sutra of the mindful one of whom all Buddhas are protective.’

「舍利弗。南方世界,有日月燈佛、名聞光佛、大焰肩佛、須彌燈佛、無量精進佛,如是等恆河沙數諸佛,各於其國,出廣長舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,說誠實言:『汝等眾生,當信是稱讚不可思議功德一切諸佛所護念經。』」

Well-known Light Buddha, Great Blazing Shoulders Buddha, Sumeru Lamp Buddha, Measureless Vigor Buddha, all Buddhas such as these, numberless as Ganges sands. In his own country each brings forth the appearance of a vast and long tongue, everywhere covering the three thousand great thousand worlds, and speaks the sincere and actual words, ‘All you living beings should believe, praise, and hold in reverence the inconceivable merit and virtue of this sutra of the Mindful One of Whom all Buddhas are Protective.’

「舍利弗。西方世界,有無量壽佛、無量相佛、無量幢佛、大光佛、大明佛、寶相佛、淨光佛,如是等恆河沙數諸佛,各於其國, 出廣長舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,說誠實言:『汝等眾生,當信是稱讚不可思議功德一切諸佛所護念經。』」

Most Victorious Sound Buddha, Hard To Injure Buddha, Sun Birth Buddha, Net Brightness Buddha, all Buddhas such as these, numberless as Ganges sands. In his own country each brings forth the appearance of a vast and long tongue, everywhere covering the three thousand great thousand worlds, and speaks the sincere and actual words, ‘All you living beings should believe, praise, and hold in reverence the inconceivable merit and virtue of this Sutra of the Mindful One of Whom all Buddhas are Protective.’

「舍利弗。下方世界,有師子佛、名聞佛、名光佛、達摩佛、法幢佛、持法佛,如是等恆河沙數諸佛,各於其國,出廣長舌相, 遍覆三千大千世界,說誠實言:『汝等眾生,當信是稱讚不可思議功德一切諸佛所護念經。』」

Famous Light Buddha, Dharma Buddha, Dharma Curtain Buddha, Dharma Maintaining Buddha, all Buddhas such as these, numberless as Ganges sands. In his own country each brings forth the appearance of a vast and long tongue, everywhere covering the three thousand great thousand worlds, and speaks the sincere and actual words, ‘All you living beings should believe, praise, and hold in reverence the

inconceivable merit and virtue of this Sutra of the Mindful One of Whom all Buddhas are Protective.’

「舍利弗。上方世界,有梵音佛、宿王佛、香上佛、香光佛、大焰肩佛、雜色寶華嚴身佛、娑羅樹王佛、寶華德佛、見一切義佛、如須彌山佛,如是等恆河沙數諸佛,各於其國,出廣長舌相,遍覆三千大千世界,說誠實言:『汝等眾生,當信是稱讚不可思議功德一切諸佛所護念經。』」

Buddha, Superior Fragrance Buddha, Fragrant Light Buddha, Great Blazing Shoulders Buddha, Vari-colored Jewels and Flower Adornment Body Buddha, Sala Tree King Buddha, Jewelled Flower Virtue Buddha, Vision of All Meaning Buddha, Such As Mount Sumeru Buddha, all Buddhas such as these, numberless as Ganges sands. In his own country each brings forth the appearance of a vast and long tongue, everywhere covering the three thousand great thousand worlds and speaks the sincere and actual words, ‘All you living beings should believe, praise, and hold in reverence the inconceivable merit and virtue of this Sutra of the Mindful One of Whom all Buddhas are Protective.’

「舍利弗。於汝意云何?何故名為一切諸佛所護念經?」

Shè lì fó. yú rǔ yì yún hé? Hé gù míng wéi yī qiē zhū fó suǒ hù niàn jīng? Shariputra, what do you think? Why is it called ‘Sutra of the Mindful One of Whom all Buddhas are Protective?’

舍利弗。若有善男子、善女人,聞是經受持者,及聞諸佛名者, 是諸善男子、善女人,皆為一切諸佛之所護念,皆得不退轉於阿

耨多羅三藐三菩提。是故舍利弗,汝等皆當信受我語,及諸佛所說。」

Shè lì fó. ruò yǒu shàn nán zǐ, shàn nǚ rén, wén shì jīng shòu chí zhě, jí wén zhū fó míng zhě, shì zhū shàn nán zǐ, shàn nǚ rén, jiē wéi yī qiē zhū fó zhī suǒ hù niàn, jiē dé bù tuì zhuǎn yú ā nuò duō luó sān miǎo sān pú tí. shì gù shè lì fó, rǔ děng jiē dāng xìn shòu wǒ yǔ, jí zhū fó suǒ shuō.

Shariputra, if a good man or good woman hears this sutra and holds to

it, and hears the names of all these Buddhas, this good man or woman will be the mindful one of whom all Buddhas are protective, and will irreversibly attain to anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Therefore, Shariputra, all of you should believe and accept my words and those which all Buddhas speak.

「舍利弗。若有人已發願、今發願、當發願,欲生阿彌陀佛國者, 是諸人等,皆得不退轉於阿耨多羅三藐三菩提,於彼國土,若已生、若今生、若當生。是故舍利弗,諸善男子、善女人,若有信者,應當發願,生彼國土。舍利弗,如我今者,稱讚諸佛不可思議功德,彼諸佛等,亦稱讚我不可思議功德,而作是言:『釋迦牟尼佛能為甚難希有之事,能於娑婆國土,五濁惡世,劫濁、見濁、煩惱濁、眾生濁、命濁中,得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。為諸眾生,說是一切世間難信之法。』」

Shariputra, if there are people who have already made the vow, who

now make the vow, or who are about to make the vow, ‘I desire to be born in Amitabha’s Country,’ these people, whether born in the past, now being born, or to be born in the future, all will irreversibly attain

to anuttarasamyaksambodhi. Therefore, Shariputra, all good men and good women, if they are among those who have faith, should make the vow, ‘I will be born in that country.’ Shariputra, just as I now praise the inconceivable merit and virtue of all Buddhas, all those Buddhas equally praise my inconceivable merit and virtue saying these words, ‘Shakyamuni Buddha can complete extremely rare and difficult deeds. In the Saha land, in the evil time of the five turbidities, in the midst of the kalpa turbidity, the view turbidity, the affliction turbidity, the living beings turbidity, and the life turbidity, he can attain anuttarasamyaksambodhi and for the sake of living beings, speak this Dharma which in the whole world is hard to believe.’

「舍利弗。當知我於五濁惡世,行此難事,得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提,為一切世間說此難信之法,是為甚難。」

Shè lì fó. dāng zhī wǒ yú wǔ zhuó è shì, xíng cǐ nán shì, dé ā nuò duō luó sān miǎo sān pú tí, wéi yī qiē shì jiān shuō cǐ nán xìn zhī fǎ, shì wéi shèn nán.

Shariputra, you should know that I, in the evil time of the five

turbidities, practice these difficult deeds, attain anuttarasamyaksambodhi, and for all the world speak this Dharma, difficult to believe, extremely difficult!”

佛說此經已,舍利弗,及諸比丘,一切世間天人阿修羅等,聞佛所說,歡喜信受,作禮而去。

Fó shuō cǐ jīng yǐ, shè lì fó, jí zhū bǐ qiū, yī qiē shì jiān tiān rén ā xiū luó děng, wén fó suǒ shuō, huān xǐ xìn shòu, zuò lǐ ér qù.

After the Buddha spoke this sutra, Shariputra and all the bhikshus, all

the gods, men, and asuras, and others from all the worlds, hearing what the Buddha had said, joyously welcomed, faithful accepted, bowed and withdrew.

擁抱綠色 大手牽小手親子生態大健行

6月5日恰逢世界環境日50周年紀念日,由國際佛光會里斯本協會主辦、第三分會協辦「擁抱綠色—大手牽小手親子生態大健行」,近80人,其中有15對親子,大家前往卡斯卡伊斯市的皮桑國家公園參加健行。這是葡萄牙佛光山和里斯本佛光協會為「慶祝世界地球日、回應世界環境日、拯救地球、一起響應」而舉辦的2022葡萄牙綠色嘉年華系列行動,為期一季的雲端植樹、浴佛慶典及佛誕音樂會、路跑里斯本、騎行低碳遨遊里斯本,此綠色系列為最後一項活動。

當天一早,參與者首先抵達藍湖進行打卡熱身。位於辛特拉中部的藍湖非常適合觀察各類物種,從鴨子和烏龜到鯉魚和鱸魚以及各種鳥類,良好的生態環境使得大家對當日的徒步活動充滿了期待。

本次於皮桑國家公園大健行路程約4公里,時長1.5小時,由親子共同完成。皮桑具有獨特生態的大自然草地、森林、農業空間、溪流,是一個瞭解生活、自然以及該地區典型的動植物種類的機會。

葡萄牙佛光山監寺覺彥法師帶領大家一同喊出徒步口號:「綠色嘉年華、大手牽小手大健行」,隨著一聲「出發」,健行活動正式拉開帷幕。

參加活動的成員有佛光會員、佛光之友還有佛光家屬和義工們,最小的只有16個月。眾人本著「愛環保、綠生活、守護地球」的初心,用腳步探索大自然,在蜂蜜房前遊戲,在松林中野餐,伴隨著風聲、在鳥語聲中禪坐,最後覺彥法師恭讀星雲大師〈為自然生態祈願文〉為今日活動畫下圓滿的休止符。

此次親子生態大建行活動獲得所有參與者一致好評並紛紛在活動群、朋友圈上發表自己的活動感言。羅惠芬表示,這是近兩年來後疫情首次參加大型的戶外活動,青山綠水、空氣清新,適當的運動令他感覺神清氣爽。青年Tiago和Bruno利用週末時間一起在綠色中徒步,遠離電子產品,感覺非常好、令人興奮。周美芹攜同兩個孩子共度健康快樂的親子時光,令他們異常開心。孫靜夫婦抽離繁忙的工作,通過與大自然親密接觸,使身心更加愉悅。

與「食」俱進傳遞正能量 葡萄牙佛光人喜當食品銀行義工

5月29日,國際佛光會葡萄牙里斯本協會50位會員大眾在第五分會會長鄭雅珍的帶領下,積極參加食品銀行做義工。參與此活動的人員包括里斯本各分會的會員、佛光之友、佛光青年團及三好菩提園善童等,年齡橫跨10歲到70餘歲。義工菩薩們個個精神抖擻,動作神速,用自己的汗水闡釋了什麼是真正的與「食」俱進,傳遞正能量!

「食品銀行」是葡萄牙的社會援助機構,成立於1991年,主要負責在各個超市收集捐贈的大米、罐頭、餅乾和麵條等易保存的食物,然後運送到食品銀行大倉庫,透過分類,最後再發放給全國需要救濟的單位。而佛光人所做的就是將各收集點運送來的食品通過流水線按類分揀,重新封包後入庫儲存。里斯本協會第五分會基本上每年都積極投入當義工獻愛心活動,不僅可以讓大家一起發心廣結善緣,提升生命價值,更能將星雲大師「施者受者,本無差別」的觀念傳遞給每一位義工菩薩。

承辦今年食品銀行活動的第五分會鄭雅珍談到,里斯本協會與葡萄牙食品銀行的合作已有10年之久,佛光人秉持星雲大師的四大宗旨之一「以慈善服務社會」,就是希望未來有更多人加入義工行列,為當地社會獻愛心。

負責服務於義大利麵流水線的陳秋佳非常歡喜地分享:「今天是第一次與70歲的媽媽一起來參加此活動,母親平時喜歡運動,在里斯本生活多年一直被葡國政府善待,有機會回饋社會,感到十分歡喜。」佛光之友李純潔激動不已:「葡萄牙是一個非常友好的國家,自己很喜歡葡萄牙人民,一生能有機會,很願意在葡萄牙做義工,服務大眾,做這些有意義的事情非常高興。」

年僅10歲的張文碩小善童接受採訪時,毫不猶豫地說出兩個字:「累!爽!」可見充實忙碌當義工不僅讓孩子放下手機及電動遊戲,更能讓孩子懂得服務別人、奉獻愛心,還能關心與尊重別人,讓家庭更加和諧。

綠色巡禮踩自行車 低碳遨遊里斯本

【人間社 黃慧偉 葡萄牙里斯本報導】2022-05-23為推動綠色出行助力低碳生活,5月22日,國際佛光會里斯本協會第四分會於里斯本世界博覽會的江邊舉辦綠色嘉年華踩自行車活動。近50位與會者,秉持著「我騎行,我健康!我騎行,我環保!」的精神。一路「騎」樂無窮。

第四分會會長李煜洹分打頭陣,副會長陳建立壓後。帶領大家沿著海岸,馳行在海濱大路,圍繞萬國公園騎行,平均每人騎行6公里,累計近300公里。

騎行在路上,風景在心中。藍天白雲下,一抹紅格外絢麗多姿。吸引了來江邊散步的華人華僑,詢問這是什麼團體組織,經瞭解是佛光山和國際佛光會,即稱想成為我們的佛光之友。以體育弘法,走出去能接引更多有緣人。用行動倡導「綠色無碳行,地球更安寧」。

為增強佛光人團隊意識、培養團隊合作能力,在騎行結束後,組織大家一起素質拓展。活動分三個遊戲:自行車接力賽、自行車慢騎、自行車繞蛇字型接力。騎快是一種能力,騎慢是一種境界。與會者分兩小組,佛光青年王欣瑤和菩提園班長陳晨自願擔任兩隊小組長,帶領大家一起完成比賽。最後王欣瑤組領先勝出。在一片歡聲笑語中圓滿今天的活動。也讓大家透過集體的運動,相互合作、支持、團結。能夠分工合作,團體才會健全;懂得合作分工,人際才能圓融。

第一個率先到達終點的佛光人余何靜分享,自己平時週末就很喜歡一家人出來騎行,希望以後還有更多類似的活動。

菩提園的kimi善童近期剛學會騎自行車,第一次離開自己家的院子騎行,但是一點也不害怕,並說有這麼多人陪他一起騎行,很有安全感。

會長付綠珍表示:平時忙於工作,難得有機會出來騎行,既能鍛鍊身體,又低碳環保。修行,光修不夠還需行。也在遊戲中讓大家學會承擔,分工協作,很有意義。

人生如騎車,上坡如身處逆境,只要堅持,准能夠到達坡頂。人生如騎車,下坡如身臨順境,只有不放縱,才能平安著陸。葡萄牙佛光山監寺覺彥法師開示:今天的活動是延續4月份的葡萄牙佛光山綠色嘉年華系列活動之一。今天大家藉由踩自行車活動,合乎環保,響應節約能源、回歸簡樸、有益健康,增進感情。勉勵大家繼續「愛護地球,從我做起」。
